The contest concerned urban and architectural designs for a multi-functional building on the site of the former amphitheatre in the middle of a lucrative neighbourhood in the centre of Bratislava. The situation was made more complicated by its location on the northern slope.
On the other hand, a good basis is the location itself surrounded by greenery and, at higher altitudes, with beautiful views of the dominants – such as Kamzík. The design treated the slope as a terraced structure divided into three blocks, which formed a square with crossroads. In the lower part of the relevant area we designed residential buildings on the base of a multi-functional parterre with a park layout. Angled residential three-wing buildings of the lower part would avoid each other in views of the surrounding greenery and also allow a south-west orientation of the layouts.
