Čerešne Residence

The third stage of the Čerešne Residence development completes the block-line composition of the Čerešne district with three white cascading 3D houses, which also form the street line of the only road crossing this multifunctional complex. The complicated terrain profile of the area and the differentiated typological structure, tectonic aesthetics, and colorfulness of the facades of the houses from the original stages of Čerešne are in the final phase – Residence composed into a monumentalized structure of triangular zigzag terraces in the lower, middle, or upper part of the three Residence houses. The topology of the placement of individual houses on the ascending terrain generates a unique and unrepeatable geometry of each residential building, where each house has different floor plans, layouts, and orientations with views of the surrounding landscape of the housing estate and forest park.

The monochromatic white color scheme of the three differentiated sculptural 3D houses creates a platform for the further architectural and layout composition of balconies and terraces and the distinctive design language of the Residence’s public interiors. The staggered terraces of the zigzag western facades facing the mini-boulevard Čerešní create apartments with triangular floor plans, thus differentiating the various visual configurations. The broken floor plans of irregularly placed balconies are inspired by the diverse orientations of the houses and support the differentiated and unique configurations of the outdoor spaces of individual apartments.
